Moving to China

Yet another one of my friends is going to China to work. Apparently its really cheap and happening. But the problem is the pay really sucks too. And of course everyone speaks mandarin. WHich is fine for my friend becos her mandarin is awesome. Oh well. At least I know more mandarin than french or spanish I guess. Then why is it I want to work in France or Spain? If I can work in the Beijing Olympics, then I'd go to China in a heartbeat.

Kid's parties

I've had 2 kid's parties in the last 2 weeks. First was Amy's, which was surprisingly easy. Firstly I didn't have to cook, entertain anyone, or talk to strange people. This is how it went - I arrived and started eating and drinking. Then I realised there wasn't any decorations so I helped put up a token used-a-100-times "happy birthday" sign. Then I started playing X box games with Alun. Amy's friends came and almost all their parents just dropped them off so didn't stay. Then Amy and her friends went upstairs and the backyard to play (sometimes at the same time). Then we stopped playing Xbox to cut the birthday cake and after we started playing again. Parents came and picked kids and left. By the time I realised it, my watch said 8pm and I was still playing Xbox. Which is why I mustn't get an Xbox because then my life is over. Anyway then there was my church friend Denise's 2nd son Divyan's birthday. Now that was tough. Denise baked a dinosaur cake, complete with grass and Jurassic Park logo, and made a dino egg pinata and cookies for the kids to design. I spent an hour putting up 20 balloons and when the guests came, made about 20 balloon animals. There were sooo many kids. And they were all making each other cry. So what made both parties so different? Age. Amy is 6, and Divyan is 3. Damn it, Antonia is only 2.

Haha thanks Lesley

That's funny - no one knows I have this blog except you. Well I have another friend who blogs and reading her journal is fun - I started reading hers because she went to the Philippines and I was curious what life there was like. So anyway maybe I will introduce my sister to my blog. She likes to call me on the phone normally. Anyway thanks for reading. Sorry there are so few entries. I will try harder.
